Welcome again to the INTERVIEW section of the VANDALISM NEWS. Well, once again it is VENGEANCE on the keys typing this chapter for your delight. But, this time I can bring you 2 interviews and both are getting a little old now, the FIRST one has been conducted by MORBID of ONSLAUGHT, with a very well known musician from the DUTCH based DEMO GROUP known to the masses as FOCUS. He is "JURGEN VAN DONGEN", otherwise known as JVD (his actual real life initials).

Hi man, introduce yourself to our readers and tell us a little bit about yourself...
J)
Well, my name is Jurgen Van Dongen. I'm 20 years old and have brown/blonde hair and blue eyes. I'm 1.87 tall and I’m in love with MIRANDA, JVD is my handle.
M)
Well, nice to see you have a female in your life, many people like you and FOCUS so please tell us about your scene history a little...
J)
Well, I brought my commie in 1986 and lamed around for one year. Then I joined a little group called EURASIA I left them after a while and formed TWINS with a friend. I met TFS/SUPER SONICS and he taught me to code. After one year I joined the forces in STASH as a coder. In 1990 I had a little break down for half a year and left the scene. When I came back to the scene I joined HOUSE DESIGNS and joined them as a musician. Here I started my little career as a musician. When I left HOUSE DESIGNS I joined FREELINE DREAMS, this was a game label from myself and my friend. We made 2 games and sold one. After this cool year I joined FACES, we released a MADONNA SLITRO and a little demo and I left them already to join the best Dutch group these days, FOCUS, I’m a FOCUS member from 1/2/1993 and I still am. A few months ago I started my own music label called AUDIAL TRONICS. We have 3 members right now, so if you need any music let me know...

We will certainly do that, but still on the subject of your music, what players do you use now and what have you used before?
J)
I started in MUSIC-ASSEMBLER by the DUTCH USA TEAM. After that I used a lot of different players like: Artline player, Maniacs of Noise, Guy Shavitt, 20CC and some their players. Now I use the JCH newplayer v15 I have my own coded editor on this player. I also use the Falco Paul and Reyn Ouwehand's player. So if there is anyone who wants to write a player especially for the Audial Tronics music company write me a letter...
M)
Well, onto players, or basically playing do you play any kind of musical instruments at all?
J)
Yes I do, I played for 3 years the organ and had every 1 lesson. When I quit with the lessons I brought myself a SYNTH, I got an Technics ax-7. But I want to have a new one.
M)
What equipment do you use (hardware etc.)?
J)
Well I use the following things. 2 computers, one old and one new 1541 disk drive. And a monitor. 2 joysticks and 1 amplifier. I got also an Amiga 500 and a PC.
M)
Well, that’s was kinda a boring question, so who do you respect on the scene and what for?
J)
I respect all those people who keep the scene alive.
M)
That's how it should be but if you had to break it down into favourites what would you say?
J)
Demo groups: CREST, FLASH INC.
Cracking groups: SCS+TRC.
Coders: CROSSBOW, TTS, KJER.
Musicians: JEROEN TEL, THOMAS MOGENSEN.
Artists: HEIN DESIGN, MIRAGE, JOE.
Disk mags: SKYHIGH
Bands: ROXETTE
Alcohol: BEER.

Nice to see some of your favourites and your future plans, both inside and outside the scene?
J)
Well I’ll stay in the scene till the END. I'll also start making music on the PC. For real life I will be a happy man and have good health.
